The Halifax community is mourning the loss of Peter Baylis, a cherished local performer and longtime anthem singer for the Halifax Mooseheads, who passed away at the age of 62.
Known for his powerful voice and warm presence, Baylis had been a beloved fixture at Mooseheads games, where his stirring renditions of “O Canada” became a tradition fans eagerly anticipated. His performances were marked by both passion and pride, reflecting his deep love for music and his city.
Beyond his role with the Mooseheads, Peter was a well-known singer throughout Halifax’s arts and entertainment scene.
